The jewel in Brixen's crown is its high-quality drinking water, which comes from the nearby mountain springs. The same pure, tested drinking water even comes out of the fountains around the city, in the surrounding villages and in the Plose area. “Refill your bottle” signs on the fountains encourage people to ditch disposable plastic bottles in favour of refilling, and quench their thirst on the go.
